Project & Events Coordinator
Line in the Sand (LITS) is seeking a part time project and events coordinator based in the Busselton-Margaret River region to further its work in the area.
LITS is a registered charity whose purpose is to enable and empower local communities to become agents of change (proactive and reactive), by funding projects that achieve powerful environmental outcomes that preserve, protect and regenerate local ecosystems with future generations of Australians in mind. The role is a great opportunity to learn from and work with industry leaders and collaborate with exciting WA brands. Candidates must be experienced in event organization and marketing communications across traditional and digital media platforms, passionate about the natural environment, and able to work remotely and independently.
Responsibilities include:
develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders through direct personal communication, newsletters and social media posts
organize LITS events and fundraising with individual and commercial partners, donors and local environmental groups
work with groups seeking funding for projects to assist with project definition and documentation, and assist with the writing of grant applications
liaise with groups funded by LITS to ensure the timely delivery of funded projects and delivery of acquittal reports
represent LITS through attendance at community events and maintain relationships with local government and business and community groups
