End of 2024 Review

THANKYOU FOR ANOTHER YEAR OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

Line in the Sand is extremely grateful for the generosity of our donors, who have contributed funding to vital environmental work being undertaken in the south west.  Your support has enabled our many 2024 highlights, including:

  • Nature Conservation Margaret River Region's outstanding achievements in the Caring for Coast, Adopt a Spot, and Youth Marine Stewardship programs

  • The purchase and installation of cameras in the Gracetown Cowaramup Bay Community's feral animal monitoring and management program

  • Supporting the significant Cape Naturaliste Conservation Enterprise

  • South West Brewers Alliance members Eagle Bay Brewing Co (Our Lighthouse Lager) and Shelter Brewing (Paradiso Pale) donating proceeds of special release beers

  • OzFish Geographe's feral goldfish trapping program in the Vasse River

  • Donation tap points at Stormflower Vineyard and McHenry Hohnen Vintners

  • White Elephant Cafe's display of the LITS logo on their staff uniforms and a QR code on their menus, encouraging donations and raising awareness of Line in the Sand.

For more details on each of these collaborations, read our impact report released in winter this year.

Line in the Sand AGM and Planning Session

We recently held our AGM and a strategy session for the year ahead, mapping out some proposed activities and discussing project funding while retaining our focus on LITS’s core purpose.  Representatives from the Cape Naturaliste Conservation Enterprise, including Project Manager Cass Jury from Nature Conservation Margaret River Region, joined us for an update on this remarkable venture.  We're so inspired by their ambition and enthusiasm and are excited to see the next steps of this project.

A Volunteer Call-Out for Toby Inlet Catchment Group

Our friends at TICG need your help! Can you spare some time to assist the TICG volunteers with watering the winter plantlings along the Quindalup foreshore during their first summer?  This watering is critical to ensure the survival of these growing plants.

Please get in touch with us if you can offer your time to make a difference, either as a one-off or regularly throughout the summer months.
