Toby Inlet Project Update

It has been wonderful to receive updates from Toby Inlet Catchment Group on the progress and impact of the donation and strategic support from Line in the Sand following our fundraising collaboration with Rocky Ridge Brewing last year.

Most recently TICG organised the installation of five possum boxes in native peppermint tree growth in Quindalup. Rocky Ridge staff planted over 1000 seedlings along the Quindalup foreshore in early 2022 and the revegetation activity facilitates the expansion of native plant undergrowth, tree corridor and will provide a suitable habitat for local species such as the endangered Western Ringtail Possum.

A recent visit and photographs taken by City of Busselton Environmental Management Officer Joe Casperz-Loney confirmed positive progress on the plants growth and a high survival rate.

The revegetation activity and possum box installation from the Line in the Sand project supports the Dunsborough Foreshore Management Plan (2009), and Toby Inlet Water Management Plan (2019) by the City of Busselton.

A detailed list of the seedlings planted along the foreshore is provided below. Thank you again to Rocky Ridge Brewing and their staff for their support of Line in the Sand which enables such important projects to occur.
